For the first time in 30 years, a pair of jaguar cubs were born at the San Diego Zoo on April 26. Their keepers report that they are brother and sister. Right now, they weigh just five pounds each, but adult jaguars weigh around 250 pounds, so they have some growing to do.
For now, they are being kept inside, away from the world’s view, but they will be going public soon, and their new home will be surrounded by glass so that they will be visible to the whole world.
