Cats are creatures of habit, and changing routines could make them ill.
What’s more, the condition of cats suffering from interstital cystitis may even improve after caretakers establish a routine.
Ohio State University researchers found that both healthy and chronically ill cats showed more signs of illness, like vomiting, coughing up hairballs, and defecating outside the litter box, after disruptions in
their daily routines, according to a paper published in
the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
